Isolation Nguyen Thac Bach Out of pain, out of misery Found myself here wandering in mist Far from envy, far from greed Found my feet cross over silent leaves. Imprisoned clouds in frozen sky Looking down the squirming trees Beside my way they mourned in silence Losing all their sap, losing all their yearnings… I stepped by the crying brook Listen to birds’ song in the whispering breeze Like the vain demon before a white rose, I saw her She was sitting, under the sighing oak Long black hair slowly streaming in the air Limpid eyes looked into nowhere She began to sing, with her charmful voice How long had I been there, I didn’t care… So fell autumn rain Would it wash away my sorrow Or just falling down with tears on my face? How long had I been there, I didn’t care… Her melody just like a flowing stream Flowing flowing from hers, to my soul Not the rain but her elegant piano Took away my past worn memory Lead me into a peaceful sleep… Opened my eyes to the bright sunshine No one there, she had gone with the rain Am I like them, too stained to follow her? Last autumn leaf faded away Though blowing winds had stopped Trying to find my consciousness Lonely there, I stood With sombre eyes to the sky... (3/2006) Tác giả xin khẳng định đây không phải 1 bài thơ nông cạn viết về tình yêu. |
